Ivan Mastagarkov graduated from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria in   1994,majoring in woodcarving at the Faculty of Applied Arts. He obtained a MA degree.    He is a current member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists,and lives in Toronto, Ontario.    Hi is a professional artist from 7 years. He works with solid wood - relieves and sculptures    for interior and exterior situates. All pieces of arts are handmade.   He is a cabinet maker and furniture designer, with 10 years experience is in handcrafted   solid wood furniture, and has designed and crafted interior projects such as entrance and   interior doors, wardrobes, bedroom suites, and other decorative elements.He has   experience with designing and crafting wood carved ceilings, mirror and picture frames.   His design experience includes copies of antique furniture as well as vanguard furniture. 1994-General Student Exhibition, Sofia, Bulgaria. 1997-National Spring Exhibition of decorative Arts, Sofia. 1997-First International Art Fair, Plovdiv. 1997-Art and Everyday Life Exibition, Sofia. 1998-Second International Art Fair, Plovdiv. 1999-Symposium in wood sculpture, Triavna. 1999-Wood sculpture and Ceramics Exibition,Sofia. 1999-Third International Art Fair, Plovdiv. 1999-Participation in the European Month of Culture with monumental plastic arts, Plovdiv. 1999-Picture of Wood Exhibition, Plovdiv. 1999-Exhibition of Union of Bulgarian Artists, Sofia. 2000-Exhibition in Old town Plovdiv. 2000-Exhibition Woodcarving, Sofia.
